I think a lot of people are so used to having cell phones and computers that they don’t even think about buying an emergency weather radio. I learned my lesson when my area was hit by a series of hurricanes years ago. I was still a kid at the time, but I remember wishing we had one as we huddled in the closet, not sure when the winds and rain would stop.
