I think whether you decide to tell your parents or not depends a lot on your relationship with them. But, if you decide to tell them and they think it’s weird, you can show them that both FEMA and The American Red Cross recommend that everyone have an emergency preparedness kit, which is basically just another name for a bug out bag. It’s really not that weird to be prepared for a disaster. Good job being so prepared at a young age!
