Cranberry only works for UTI's caused by e-Coli, which is only about 70% of UTIs. Other types of bacteria do not respond to cranberry and are the ones responsible for most complicated infections that go to the bladder and kidneys. These are the type that require anti-biotics, although not typically amoxicillin.
I am disappointed that the Fish Aid brand has been discontinued, as they were excellent quality in my experience.

I have used Fish Mox over several years off and on for various reasons. It always works in a week or so and saves me a trip to the doctor. I'll keep using as long as I can find it. Just today ordered a new bottle. Was hard to find. LOL.

I discovered these antibiotics when I was looking for a online vet for one of the many animals I rescue and rehome so I could obtain antibiotics. I found these and decided they were worth the risk. They have been a God send! I could not afford to take all these animals to the vet. I open the capsules and disolve them in liquid. If it is a 250 mg capsule, I put in 12 equal parts liquid and use one part per dosage, 2 doses per day on most of the rescues , as most of the animals have been 3 to 5 lbs, A little more for larger ones. The smaller animals generally take up to 25mgs a day the larger ones a bit more. These antibiotics have cleared up many infections. I employ my common sense and so far I haven't had any problems with them.
I soon started using them for my family and myself and they work great.

Fish Aid! Never-mind Discontinued too!
( I must have bought Fish Aid, when I could not get Thomas Lab, a few years ago)

Only other one I can find is Aqua-Mox.

But, cannot see the whole bottle to see all ingredients.

active ingredient says - Amoxicillin .

I still have some Thomas Lab Fish Mox, and a full bottle of Fish Aid left. And both just expired a few months ago.

If anyone gets Aqua-Mox. Please let us know if the only ingredient is Amoxicillin! I will need back up for my cats!

All these people in the comments with recurring UTI's. All you have to do is drink cranberry juice. Or try the cranberry pills!

I hate cranberries and the juice, but mix it with whatever else I am drinking.

I have never had a UTI! NEVER.

Still trying to find a safe and reliable option to Thomas Lab Fish Mox, since Thomas Labs is no longer Making it!

I give to feral and my cats when needed.

What is a safe alternative to give to cats?
